ICEFA 2008 prize awards - Japan, Tokyo

On 19 January 2009 prize awards to Japanese children took place of the 36th edition of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice. Besides the Ambassador J. Novotny also the head of the cultural department of the Embassy, V. Kosickova, took part in the ceremony. The opening speech explaining a mission of the Lidice exhibition was followed by greeting speeches and thanks to teachers and art schools.
Then certificates and gift packets were bestowed upon nine child winners in front of the audience (some 32 persons), with the packet containing sweets and small keepsakes relating to the CR (crayons, child games etc.).
After the official part of the visit, a tour followed round the ceremonial area of the Embassy and the Czech Centre Tokyo, where the visitors could see i.a. the current exhibition 68-89.
