ICEFA 2008 prize awards - Venezuela, Caracas

On 9 December 2008 Genesis Gómez (8), who won a prize in the 36th edition of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2008, was ceremoniously awarded a certificate at the diplomatic mission in Caracas.
The Ambassador St. Slavický gave a speech in the ceremony, appreciating timeless importance of the exhibition. Indeed, there is a quarter of Caracas bearing the name Lidice. It was mapped and drawn by the Czech countryman and chronicler Karel Stohr.
There were also present the parents of the girl and her teacher of drawing, the consul P. Stiegler, the officer Jana Kvintusová, Vladimír Sýkora, the chair of the compatriot Association Vene – Checo, and Miguel Osers, the deputy chair of Vene – Checo.
