ICEFA 2009 prize awards - Lithuania, Vilnius

On 16 September 2009 the Czech embassy at Vilnius hosted the prize awards to Lithuanian laureates of International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2009.

Children from Gargždai grammar school Vaivorykshté, Trakai art school, Art studio “Vaivorykshté” at Visaginas and Lithuanian Education Centre for the blind and weak-sighted received medals and certificates from Deputy Ambassador Martina Heranova. Attended by parents, siblings and teachers of the young laureates, the ceremony had a very pleasant and cordial atmosphere. It was opened by Ramuné Girl’s Choir from Vilnius Art School Lyra and the soloist P. Beniušis (artistic leader R. Aidukas), and then the prize awards followed, eagerly anticipated by the children. After another two songs the participant could view a DVD on Lidice, taste Czech and Lithuanian sweets prepared by employees of the embassy and their families and view a small exhibition of non-winning ICEFA entries.
