ICEFA 2009 Prize Awards - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo

On 21 December 2009, Ambassador Tomáš Szunyog gave medals and certificates to the child winners who participated in this year’s 37th art competition organized by the Lidice Memorial. There were 11 children from Bosnia and Herzegovina who achieved prizes, including a boy, Benjamin Isić, who got one of 66 medals awarded in total in this year’s edition. As a result of massive promotion of the exhibition, the embassy received more than one hundred entries from 15 schools at the turn of the year. There were five schools awarded, four of them from Sarajevo, one from Vlasenice.
The ceremonial prize awards took place in the Ambassador’s residence, attended by not only the child winners and their parents, but also headmasters and art teachers from the primary schools. Besides the certificates sent from the Lidice Memorial, the Embassy presented the children also with gift bags containing promotional stuff and invited the guests to a modest banquet. The programme concluded with presenting the headmasters with the catalogues of this year’s competition and the invitation to participate in the next edition.
The information on the prize awards was issued by the press agency FbaH FENA and appeared in three major dailies (Oslobođenje, Nezavisne novine, Dnevni avaz).
