ICEFA 2012 Prize Awards – Serbia, Belgrade

On 5 December 2012 the premises of the Embassy in Belgrade had prize-giving ceremony for Serbian children who had been awarded in the 40th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2012.
Having been welcomed on behalf of the head of the Embassy in Belgrade by her deputy Jiří Kyrian, the children received their prizes from V. Füleová, the head of consulate department. It was 9 honourable mentions and two “Rose of Lidice” medals this year.
The event was a valuable experience for both the children and their teachers. They particularly appreciated their having been able to see the ceremonial room of the Embassy at their visit. As mostly non-Belgrade-based participants of the Lidice competition came this time (from Novi Sad, Subotica, Vrnjačka Banja, Kikinda and Odžaci), the meeting with the Embassy staff was, by their own words, a welcomed enlivening of their one-day trip to the capital. This year, pre-school children predominated among the Serbian winners, gladly giving some poses for the cameras of their parents and teachers. On this occasion, the representatives of schools were given invitations to participate in 2013 edition.
