ICEFA Lidice Prize Awards 2012 - Pretoria, South Africa

Deputy Ambassadress of the Czech Republic to South Africa Nicol Adamcová presented the prize from the Lidice Memorial to the forteen-year-old Natasha Brown from St. Stithians College in Randburg.
The prize was handed over on 25 October 2012 at the occasion of public screening of the Czech historical drama "Lidice" at Redhill School in Sandton, which was organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pretoria in cooperation with the Johannesburg branch of the Holocaust and Genocide Centre.
Natasha Brown received her prize for her drawing entered for the 40th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2012. The exhibition was founded in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice who had been murdered by German Nazis as well as all other children who died in war conflicts. The gifted artist received a certificate of the Lidice Memorial, a commemorative medal and a book about the most beautiful places in the Czech Republic.
