ICEFA 2013 Prize Awards - Panama, Honorary Consulate Panamá

On 11 October 2013, the conference room at Honorary Consul's enterprise hosted a ceremony organized by Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Panama to present prizes - a medal and honourable mentions - to the Panama child-winners of the 41st International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2013. The ceremony was attended by the winners, their teachers who had provided them with guidance, their parents and the organizers. The prizes were presented by Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Panama Ing. Herman Bern. The teachers received letters for the headmasters of the winning schools, catalogues and invitations to participate in the 42nd ICEFA Lidice 2014.
The tragedy was reminded of the Czech village of Lidice during the WWII at the ceremony while the students were motivated to prepare their entries for the next, 42nd edition of the competition.
The prizes and gifts were presented to the students in the following order:
1. Kathia Castillo, a medal
2. Omar Colon, honourable mention
3. Ambar Moreno, honourable mention
After the prize-giving ceremony, the students and their parents and teachers were invited for lunch to the Crowne Plaza hotel.
The ceremonial event took place in a pleasant atmosphere and was met with favourable response. The teachers promised to spread the information on the competition to persuade other Panama schools to participate.
