ICEFA 2013 Prize Awards - Lithuania, Vilnius, Panevezys

On 17 October the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vilnius hosted the prize award ceremony to celebrate the winners of the 41st ICEFA Lidice. This year's ceremony was distinguished by the visit to Vilnius of Ivona Kasalická, Head of the Lidice Gallery and Curator of ICEFA Lidice.
Lithuanian participants in the 41st ICEFA Lidice were very successful: they were awarded 5 medals and 36 honourable mentions. The ceremony was opened by children from the art studio "Garsas ir spalva", who performed pieces by foreign and Czech composers. After the musical introduction, Ambassador Radek Pech welcomed all prize-winners as well as their parents, siblings and teachers, appreciating their participation in the international competition and wishing them continued success. Curator of the international exhibition Ms Ivona Kasalická thanked for an extraordinary opportunity to be in Vilnius and meet the young artists.
Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Lithuania R. Pech and ICEFA Lidice Curator I. Kasalická presented medals and certificates to the winners from Trakai Art School, Lithuanian Training Centre for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Kuršénai Art School, Mariampolé Art School, Radviliškis progymansium Vaižgantase, Salantai Art School, Skaudvilé Gymnasium, Viekšniai Nursery School "Liepaite", Viekšniai Art School, Vilnius Gymnasium "Mintis", Vilnius Gymnasium "Gabija" and Elektrénai Art School.
