ICEFA 2013 Prize Awards – Macedonia, Skopje

The participation of the Macedonian schools in the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice has already become an annual tradition. About 50 students of Macedonian schools participated on the 41 edition of Lidice, who joined the other 25,000 children artists from 68 countries.
The international jury in the end awarded 1343 exhibits and gave out 204 medals. Macedonia was not lost in these great numbers, but on the contrary, the awarded exhibits were significantly more than last year. A total of 12 works of fine arts from Macedonia captivated the jury so much, that it decided to award medals (2) and a diploma and a certificate of acknowledgment (10).
The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Macedonia M. Rameš had a pleasant obligation to personally give out the diplomas and medals to all the awarded students. In the course of October and November the Ambassador paid a subsequent visit to the schools in Desovo, Kochani, Kumanovo, Prilep, Veles and Bitola and met not only the awarded students and their parents, but also with the school administration. The visits were also used as an opportunity to meet with the mayors and discuss the possibilities of economic cooperation with the Czech Republic and the visits became a target of interest of the local media.
