ICEFA 2013 Prize Awards – Belgrade, Serbia

On 5 December 2013 a ceremonial presentation took place at the premises of the Czech Embassy in Belgrade where The Rose of Lidice medals and honorable mentions were presented to Serbian children awarded during the 41st Annual International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2013 for works of art on the theme of Tradition and Heritage of My Country’s People.
This year over 40 schools and organizations from Serbia sent their art works to Lidice and 25 children from 9 schools recieved an award. Twenty-four children received honourary mentions, while Stella Cibolya, a Radostno Detinjstvo/Happy Childhood Kindergarten student, won a commemorative medal for a collection of combined technique, and the MKC Nepker studio received another for its collection of graphics.
The program was opened by Mr.Jiří Kyrian, chargé d' affaires ad interim, who welcomed the children receiving awards along with their teachers to the Czech Embassy in Belgrade. Then the head of the consular department, Mrs. Veronika Senjuková, presented the children their awards and invited the teachers to participate in the next yearly event.
Following the ceremony, the winning children, their teachers and the representatives of the Embassy had an opportunity to watch a film about the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice, with refreshments following the screeening.
