ICEFA 2013 Prize Awards - China, Beijing

On Sunday, 6 April 2014, certificates were officially presented in Beijing to children from the art centre 3i Art awarded in the 41st International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.
Representative of the Embassy Martin Hošek briefly introduced the present children, parents and journalists to the historical background of the competition, pointing out that the Lidice art competition has won an international acclaim as one of the largest and oldest exhibition of children's art both in Europe and the world, because it has had about 25,000 entries from upwards of 60 countries per year in recent years, including so far-off countries as China. It is good that children are engaged in painting, thus developing their imagination and creativity, and at the same time, have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of historical events related to the WWII. The head of the art centre, Ms Luo Yuting, stated that the children have again registered for the art competition this year. The prize-giving ceremony took place in the presence of the state TV channel CCTV 6 – a children's channel.
