The year 2016 marks the 70th anniversary of founding of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). One of its major priorities is the promotion of education and the access of everyone to proper education as a fundamental right and a prerequisite for human development. On the occasion of this anniversary, the 44th ICEFA Lidice 2016 has been dedicated to the theme:
