ICEFA 2018 Prize Awards - Belarus, Minsk

On 30 October 2018, 2 medals and 16 honourable mentions (out of the total number of 3 medals and 22 honourable mentions) were presented to Belarussian children awarded in the 46th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts LIDICE 2018 in the ceremonial hall of the Czech Embassy in Belarus. The medals and certificates as well as flowers and gifts in the form of art supplies (as a sponsorship donation from AŽD Praha) were presented to the children by Ambassador Designate of the Czech Republic to Belarus Tomáš Pernický.
The ceremony at the Czech Embassy in Belarus was attended by almost all winners and representatives of the award-winning school. Two children from Hrodno (honourable mentions) and five from Vitebsk (one medal and four honourable mentions) will receive their prizes when Ambassador visits these towns on business.
The ceremony saw the medals of 46th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts presented to 15-year-old Viktorija Vasilenko from Vitebsk and Lahoysk children's Art School for a collection of photographs.
Honourable mentions, flowers and gifts were given to: 11-year old Kristina Kudelko, 15-year-old Nikita Gruzd, 14-year-old Angelina Černuševič and 15-year-old Maxim Vaškevič (all from Lohaysk) and 9-year-old Valera Klušun and 14-year-old Anna Širokaja (from Maryina Horka), 7-year-old Milena Kurilo
(from Minsk), 7-year-old Saša Karpačeva (from Mozyr), 13-year-old Alena Zajac (from Novojelna), 7-year-old Daniil Gruzdov and 7-year-old Nikolaj Avdej (from Solinogorsk) and 7-year-old Uljana Rjabova, 9-year-old Darja Kalugina, 12-year-old Polina Polejko, 8-year-old Zachar Isačenko and 9-year-old Ivan Vajcehovič (all from Vitebsk).
Besides the award-winning children and their families also their teachers and schoolmates were present at the ceremony. After the ceremony, all guests were invited to a small refreshment.
