ICEFA 2020 Prize Awards - Kazakhstan
24. 11. 2020
This year, six awards for the 48th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2020 on the theme "Landscape" were awarded to young artists from Kazakhstan. The theme proved to be very inspiring, we received a total of 298 works of art from Kazakhstan, one-third more than last year. Two students received the highest award for their works, "The Rose of Lidice" medal, and four participants were awarded Honourable mentions.
On November 18, 2020, Kamila Shaimukhan, who currently attends art classes at the KazNUA (Kazakh National University of Arts) in Nur-Sultan, received the medal. The jury awarded her watercolor painting depicting the famous rock island "Zhumbaktas" on Lake Burabay, surrounded by legends. The medal and diploma were presented by Mr. Rudolf Hykl, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Kazakhstan at the embassy in Nur-Sultan. Family members of the awarded student also attended the ceremony and her grandmother gifted a book with her father’s memories of the tough life in Kazakhstan in the interwar period and during World War II to Mr. Rudolf Hykl.
The second medal will soon be received by Artem Pecherin from the city of Petropavlovsk, who made an impression on the jury with his drawing. Honourable mention diplomas were sent to schools, which will deliver them to the awarded children.
We would like to thank all who sent us their artworks this year, and congratulations to the winners! We look forward next year’s entries with the topic "Robot and artificial intelligence".
