From 15 to 28 October 2002 an exhibition of the 29th ICEFA Lidice 2001 took place in Moscow, in the Hall of the Czech Centre associated with the Embassy in Moscow.

The preview of the exhibition took place on 15 October 2002, in the presence of the Head of the Czech Centre JUDr. Kateřina Novotná, Cultural attaché at the Czech Embassy in Moscow Mgr. Zdeněk Okunek, editors of Russian children’s magazines, journalists, headmasters of art schools and many children with their parents.

The exhibition opened with a short speech by Curator of the Exhibition Iva Brothánková on the past and the present of the ICEFA Lidice; then the director of the Czech Centre introduced the cultural attaché of the Czech Embassy who, on the Czech part, presented the prizes and small keepsakes to the Russian children who attain successes in art competitions, including the exhibition Lidice.

The exhibition created a nice and interesting setting for other events and meetings taking place in the exhibition hall of the Czech Centre. Their participants viewed them with true fascination, asking about them with interest. The exhibition also found positive response from the headmasters of art schools.
