Tuesday 19 June 2012 saw the residence of the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the European Union host the ceremonial opening of the exhibitions Lidice Tragedy and International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice - Selection of the Best Winning Entries 1999 - 2009.

In the presence of many distinguished guests, the event was opened by Ambassadress Milena Vicenová and the curator of the exhibition Ivona Kasalická. Having listened to the opening speeches and seen the exhibitions, the guests watched the film Lidice by the director Petr Nikolajev.

The following day, on 20 June 2012, the mission residence hosted the prize awards to Belgian children winning in the 40th ICEFA Lidice 2012. Six children from various parts of Belgium received their certificates from Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Belgium Ivo Šrámek and the curator of the exhibition. Children and teachers from the winning schools saw the exhibition and watched the film about the organization of ICEFA Lidice.
