We would like to inform You about change of the date of the main opening ceremony of ICEFA Lidice - new date is May 31, 2018. There will be also another, smaller opening ceremony just the day after, on June 1, 2018, but in different location: National Museum of Agriculture. In case, that You wold like to join first or second opening ceremony, please, let us know via email children@lidice-memorial.cz in advance

Invitation to participate - ICEFA 2019 - topic CHEMISTRY

In 2019, it will have been 150 years since the world saw for the first time Mendeleyev’s Periodic Table of Elements, one of the pillars of modern chemistry. Deadline for delivery of works is until 15 February 2019. All entries have to be delivered by 1 March 2019.

ICEFA exhibition at the Texas Center of the Czech Cultural Heritage

On the initiative of the staff of the Czech embassy in the U.S.A., the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Centre in La Grange hosted the exhibition 'The Lidice Tragedy' and the presentation of entries of the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.

Since its establishment in 1997, the center, as an important organization of Americans of Czech origin, has been taking care of keeping awareness of the history and the cultural heritage of the Czech ethnic group. Operating a museum and a library, the center organizes an infinite number of cultural activities. The Lidice Memorial appreciates very much that we were given the opportunity to mount an exhibition there and we also appreciate the beautiful words of Ms. Retta Slavik Chandler, the president of the center. "I thank very much for an excellent exhibition that has been on loan to the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Centre. It brought many visitors to the museum."
