ICEFA 2010 prize awards - Macedonia, Skopje

On 27 November 2010 the Czech embassy in Skopje, Macedonia, organized medal and certificate awards to the Macedonian winners of the 38th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2010. The certificates and the Rose of Lidice were bestowed on the laureates by Ambassador Jozef Braun himself. Besides letters of thanks the winners received a set of keepsakes and promoting materials and were treated to a small meal.
Having been invited by the Ambassador to participate in the next edition of the competition, the teachers and the children were given information brochures containing the terms and conditions of the participation. Other brochures had been sent out to schools of art all over Macedonia earlier. Also the non-winning entries were sent out by post.
A brochure featuring the best entries of recent editions was met with great interest. The reception was conceived as an informal meeting of young artists, their parents and their teachers. The guests considered the afternoon ceremony a very prestigious event of extraordinary significance. Much room was given to taking common photographs, discussing with representatives of the Embassy and making contacts between the schools.
