Russia, Czech Centre in Moscow
As has become a tradition, the Czech Centre in Moscow organized the ceremonial awards of prizes of the children’s art competition Lidice to children from Moscow schools and art hobby groups. The event took place on 9 December 2010. This year honourable mentions went to children from the art studio “Ulej”, the secondary school no. 1188, which has been participating in the competition for several years, and the art studio at the Darwin Museum. The medal of the Lidice competition was awarded to a student of the secondary school no. 26 (for a photograph).
This year the festive atmosphere of the event was contributed to by the venue of the ceremony. The prize awards took place in the Cinema House of the Cinematographers’ Union of the Russian Federation, in which press conference are held concerning most of the film festivals in Moscow.
Besides the certificates the children received small gifts including the book Gorilla Fairy Tales by M. Bobek, published in Russian in 2010 with the support of the Czech Centre (the 38th Lidice competition was dedicated to biodiversity). The main present for young competitors was the showing of the fairytale The Most Beautiful Riddle directed by Zdeněk Troška.
The honourable mentions and medals for children from other regions of Russia were sent out by post in late November 2010.
Consulate General in Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil
In December 2010 a prize award ceremony took place in which children from Nizhny Tagil in Russia received their prizes that they had won in the 38th ICEFA Lidice. The children were presented with the prizes by Consul General Miroslav Rameš. People from the winning school had gifts prepared also for the children who had not won any prize though their works were very good.
