ICEFA 2010 prize awards - Thailand, Bangkok

On 15 December 2010 the Embassy held a farewell event for the head of the mission in the Marsi Gallery of the Suan Pakkad Palace Museum . The farewell event and the ceremonial opening of the exhibition “ODE to Asia” by the Czech painter Ladislava Fričová Boháčová took place in the presence of President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand Chai Chidchob and Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra.
Then prize awards followed to Thai students winning the 38th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2010. The certificates and medals were presented to the laureates by President of National Assembly Chidchob, Bangkok Governor Paribatra and Ambassador of the Czech Republic I. Hotěk.
Considering the forthcoming departure of the Ambassador, the Embassy used this occasion for the traditional presentation of a donation to the Human Development Foundation Mercy Centre from Bangkok that supports HIV/AIDS affected children. The donation was accepted by Father Joseph Maier , the founder of the foundation.
