ICEFA 2010 prize awards - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo

On 20 December, 2010, Ambassador Tomáš Szunyog handed over certificates to the child-winners who had participated in the this year’s 38th edition of the competition organized by the Lidice Memorial. This year success went only to pupils of Sarajevo schools: tree pupils of the primary school “Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar” and two pupils of the Primary school “Fatima Gunić”.
The award ceremony took place in the respective schools in the presence of the headmaster, art teachers and the parents of the winners. Besides the certificates from the Lidice Memorial, Ambassador presented the children with gift bags containing promotional stuff and keepsakes. The programme concluded with presenting the headmasters with the catalogues of this year’s competition and invitations to participate in the next edition. As a part of the award ceremony, the Primary School “Fatima Gunić” treated the participants to a short musical performance and the art exhibition on Prague.
The information on the prize awards was issued by the press agency FbaH FENA and appeared in two major dailies (Oslobođenje, Nezavisne novine). The Primary School “Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar” saw the ambassador giving interview to the local Sarajevo TV.
