ICEFA 2009 Prize Awards - Ukraine, Lvov

On 30 December 2009 Consul General David Pavlita and his wife visited the primary art school at Sambir, two art pupils of which received honorary mentions for their success in the art exhibition Lidice 2009. The certificates and small gifts from the Consulate General at Lvov were bestowed upon them by the Consul General himself.
The children attending the art hobby group have been participating in the exhibition for more than 10 years. They have received also the “Rose of Lidice” in the course of the competition, however they have always received the prizes by mail. The personal visit of the Consul was something very special for them (at first they did not even believe that somebody like that would visit the school in person). The teachers and the pupils prepared a nice welcome, with their own made gifts and even with “certificates” thanking for support from the consulate received in this visit.
