ICEFA 2009 Prize Awards - Macedonia, Skopje

On 30 January 2010 the Czech embassy in Skopje, Macedonia, organized medal and certificate awards to the Macedonian winners of the 37th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2009. The certificates and the Rose of Lidice were bestowed on the laureates by Ambassador Jozef Braun himself. Besides letters of thanks the winners received a set of keepsakes and promoting materials and were invited to a modest banquet.
Invited by the ambassador to participate in the next edition of the competition, the teachers and children present were given information brochures containing the participation terms and conditions. Other brochures had been sent out to schools of art all over Macedonia earlier.
The event was conceived as an informal meeting of winners and their parents and teachers. It was interesting that the winners were accompanied by 21 persons in total, including some headmasters. The guests considered the afternoon ceremony a very prestigious event of extraordinary significance. Much room was given to taking common photographs, discussing with representatives of the Embassy and making contacts between the schools.
