Announcement of winners of the international art competition Lidice 2019 in Moscow

On 14 November 2019, the Moscow City Palace of Children and Youth on the Sparrow Hills had a prize-giving ceremony to participants of the 47th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2019 from the Russian Federation.
The 47th edition of the art exhibition Lidice addressed the theme Chemistry to mark the 150th anniversary of one of the pillars of modern chemistry – the periodic table of elements created by Mendeleev. The contest received 15,336 entries by children from 70 countries, out of which 1,179 won awards. Among the most amply represented were entries by children from the Russian federation, not only from Moscow but also from Kazan, Omsk, Saratov, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Ufa and Birobidzhan.
Medals and certificates to individuals an schools were presented by Deputy Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Russian Federation Luboš Veselý and Curator of the International Children's exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2019 Stanislava Doleželová. The opening speeches were delivered by Director of the Moscow City Palace of Children and Youth on the Sparrow Hills Jelena Chasymovna Melvilova and Director of the Czech Centre Hana Skládalová. The Russian children’s music band Mega Sound sang and played for the guest of the festive night.
An exhibition of children’s entries of the 46th ICEFA on the theme Water was opened at the evening ceremony.
