ICEFA 2011 Prize Awards - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo

On 21 December 2011 the residence of the ambassador saw Ambassador Tomáš Szunyog handing over certificates to the winners of the 39th art competition organized by the Lidice Memorial. The Vuk Karadžić Primary School in Vlasenice, which has participated in the competition for several years straight, received a medal for its school collection this year. Awards in the form of certificates were granted to eight children in total, five of them from Vlasenice, two from Fatima Gunić Primary School in Sarajevo and one from Sveti Sava Primary School in Bosansko Novo.
Along with the prizes the children received promotion materials; then all present were treated to a snack. In the end, the attending representatives of the schools received the catalogue of this year’s competition along with the invitation to participate in its following edition. The Vlasenice and Sarajevo primary schools, which have participated in the competition several times, received the fine art books “Three Golden Keys” and “The Wall: Growing Behind the Iron Curtain” by Petr Sís.
The press agency FbaH FENA issued the information on the prize awards on its Internet portal while the Ambassador granted an interview to a local newspaper. Some photos from the formal event are attached.
