ICEFA Prize Awards 2015 - Kosovo, Pristina, Gjilan

On 30 September 2015, Head of the Representative Office in Priština Ivo Šilhavý visited again the the Liria School in the village of Pogragj/Gjilan after a year to present the local pupil Sevdail Mustafa with a honourable mention of the Lidice Memorial for his art work that he had sent in to the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Art Lidice 2015. In his brief address, Ambassador Šilhavý mentioned the historical circumstances of the establishment of the exhibition in commemoration of the Lidice children murdered by the Nazis. He also appreciated the engagement of students, their talents and the support from their teachers, which have been attested to by the fact that the school received a honourable mention in this international art competition for the second time. The ceremony took place in the presence of Sevdail's father, members of the teaching staff, schoolmates and representatives of NGOs.
At this ocassion, Ambassador Šilhavý met with the headmaster Hajrush Limoni who showed interest in the Czech educational system and in establishing partnership with a selected Czech school to apply the Czech know-how in the local school. After that, on 8 October 2015, Ambassador Šilhavý met the headmaster Limoni again to agree a specific plan of the partnership and to present the already selected school in Prague which had accepted the offer for cooperation.
