ICEFA 2015 Prize Awards - Georgia, Tbilisi
On 13 October 2015, the ceremonial room of the Czech Embassy in Tbilisi had an afternoon ceremony where Head of the Representative Office Tomáš Pernický presented certificates to the Georgian children whose entries had been awarded a prize in the 43rdInternational Children's Exhibition of fine Arts LIDICE 2015.
A medal and a certificate were presented to 16-year-old Ioanna Tsulaia, who received a medal last year too. Another medal was given to her 11-year-old sister Marta Tsulaia. A certificate was presented by Ambassador Tomáš Pernický to an 11-year-old Nani Chakvetadze. Along with their prizes from the 43rdICEFA LIDICE 2015 the children received flowers, books on the history of Czechia, presentation gifts and small keepsakes to be used in creative activity.
Apart from the winners, their family members and teachers, the main guest was the Deputy Minister for Reconciliation and Citizen's Equality, Mrs. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, who highly appreciated the achievement of the sisters Tsulaia, born in the family of refugees from occupied Abkhazia. Also attending the event at the Czech Embassy in Tbilisi were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia as well as the Head and the Deputy Head of Elene Akhvledani Children's Gallery, contributors of which have received many awards in the ICEFA LIDICE in the past.
The prize-giving ceremony of the 43rdInternational Children's Exhibition of fine Arts LIDICE 2015 at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi attracted much attention of Georgian media. Reports on the prize-giving ceremony were carried in the English-language newspaper "The Messenger" and information on the laureates was presented by the press agency "Kavkazpress". The event was also attended by newswomen from Russian-language newspaper "ArgumentyiFakty" and the e-newspaper Netgazeta. A report on the prize-giving ceremony and an interview with Ambassador T. Pernický on the importance of the International Children's Exhibition of fine Arts LIDICE was broadcast by TV Imedi.

19 October 2015 saw Head of the Representative Office T. Pernický and Consul Sabina Cingrošová at a ceremonial event in the newly renovated Ana Feradze Art School in Gori, presenting Honourable Mention to 12-year-old Nana Akhalbedashvili from Gori, who had been awarded in the 43rd International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts LIDICE 2015.
Ambassador T. Pernický and Consul Sabina Cingrošová presented the award-winning girl not only with the certificate but also a book, some keepsakes and flowers. The prize-giving ceremony in the Ana Feradze Art School in Gori took place in the presence of the city mayor of Gori, Mr. Zurab Jirkvelishvili. Also present were other representatives of the city, the headmaster, the deputy headmaster and teachers of the Ana Feradze Art School, the parents of the award-winning girl as well as her schoolmates and representatives of local media. As a part of the prize-giving ceremony of the 43rd International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts LIDICE 2015, City Mayor Zurab Jirkvelishvili and Ambassador T. Pernický opened ceremonially the newly renovated interiors of the Ana Feradze Art School in Gori.
20 October 2015 saw Ambassador Tomáš Pernický and Consul Sabina Cingrošová present Honourable Mention of the 43rd International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts LIDICE 2015 along with a book and some keepsakes to the 16-year-old Zaur Gamkrelidze in the town of Oni in the school in the region of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti. Present at the ceremonial event were, besides the parents, siblings and grandparents of the awarded Zaur Gamkrelidze and his teachers and schoolmates, also top representatives of the municipality of the town of Oni – Mayor Giorgi Lobjanidze and Chairwoman of the City Council Shushura Japaridze. In total, the prize-giving ceremony in the hall of the school had almost 100 attenders.
