On 25 November and 8 December 2015, Ambassador of the Czech Republic R. Hykl presented prizes to seven participants of the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2015.
On 25 November 2015, the ceremony took place in the representative office in Kuala Lumpur and celebrated three students, accompanied by teachers and parents, from art schools SMK Bandar Baru Sentul, Every Day Art Studio and SMK Bukit Jelutong from the regions Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam. At that event, children had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with Czech animated film by viewing three episodes of the Czech series Pat a Mat.
On 8 December 2015, four honourable mentions and a medal were presented to four students of the art school Yeow Chye Art Centre in Penang. The ceremony was attended by the parents and family members, the teaching staff of the school and representatives of media.
Both events featured the history of the exhibition and its connection to the events of WWII. The schools were also invited to participate in the next edition of the exhibition Lidice 2016. This year, Malaysia had 131 participants from 14 schools, out of which 8 entries won a prize – eight honourable mentions and one medal.
The representative office distributed invitations to participate in the Lidice 2016 exhibition directly to selected art schools and to the National Gallery of Visual arts of Malaysia to distribute them further.
