ICEFA 2015 Prize Awards – Montenegro, Podgorica

7. 1. 2016

A prize-giving ceremony of this year's 43rd International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA) took place in the Montenegro town of Cetinje on Monday, 14 December 2015. Certificates and medals along with other gifts were presented in the local art school Srednja likovna škola Petar Lubarda in the presence of the management of the school (Gordana Tomašević, the headmistress), teachers, children and their closest relatives. On Tuesday 15 December 2015 the Montenegro capital Podgorica (Savo Pejanović school) saw presentation of another certificate and other materials including small gifts and invitations to participate in the next 44th ICEFA. Within the presentation of the Czech Republic in the mission country there were handed over information and promotion materials about Czechia as a traditional and interesting tourist destination.

The certificates were presented by Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Podgorica Petr Šmejkal, Chargé d´Affaires a.i. Some time before, letters were sent out from the ICEFA organizer (Lidice Memorial, Lidice Gallery) to the selected schools that had participated in ICEFA. These letters included invitations to participate in the next, 44th ICEFA as well as information about the closing date of that edition (29 February 2016). The 44th ICEFA Lidice features the theme "School? Education!" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO.

The Representative Office Podgorica prepares a meeting at the Montenegrin Ministry of Education with a competent representative of this field. In connection with the invitation to the new edition of the contest, Marko Vukašinović, on behalf of the Montenegrin Ministry of education, has already sent out a circular note (also by email) to every school in the country well in advance to provide them with basic information on the conditions of the participation in ICEFA. The Representative Office Podgorica has repeatedly thanked the Ministry for their mediation.

As to this year's prize-giving ceremonies and the presentations of invitations to participate in the next ICEFA Lidice, it could be repeated that the participants, school management teams, art teachers and children themselves, especially outside the Montenegrin capital, accept the visit of representatives of the Czech embassy positively.
