ICEFA 2015 Prize Awards – Russia, Moscow and other towns

On 28 January 2016, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Moscow hosted the prize award ceremony to present honourable mentions of the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts (ICEFA Lidice).
The exhibition saw registered 1,584 entries from 132 schools of the Russian Federation. The expert panel of judges consisting of Czech art teachers and prominent Czech and foreign artists awarded 27 participating schools and 40 individual entries, five times giving the highest award – the "Rose of Lidice" medal.
The prize-giving ceremony in the premises of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Moscow saw 11 artists who had created the award-winning entries and who received honourable mentions and small gifts from Ambassador of the Czech Republic Vladimír Remek. The "Rose of Lidice" medal was presented to 14-year-old student Jaroslava Muraško from the Multipurpose School no. 1955 in Moscow. This school also received the "Rose of Lidice" medal for the greatest number of award-winning entries. Besides the laureates and their accompanying persons, there were present also the invited representatives of the partnering schools of the Czech Centre.
After the ceremony, a presentation of the Czech Republic followed and the present guests were introduced to intricacies of the Czech language by Deputy Ambassador Petr Kroužek. The festive afternoon ended with a programme for children with a film projection and small refreshments.
