ICEFA Lidice 2015 Prize Awards – Ethiopia, Addis Ababa – the Seychelles

On 8 June 2016, Ambassador Karel Hejč presented honourable mentions to three pupils of Seychellois primary schools who had been awarded a prize in the 44th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.
Primary and secondary schools in the Seychelles have been regular ICEFA participants in recent years. The 43rd edition of the contest saw as many as three representatives of the Seychelles, aged 9,10 and 11, from various primary schools receive honourable mentions.
With invitation extended to the winners and their art teachers, the prize-giving event took place at the Seychellois Ministry of Education in the presence of the Principal Secretary of the Ministry Merida Delcy, who later in discussion with the head of the Embassy showed serious interest in arranging an exhibition of all Seychellois entries of all the years Seychellois children participated in the competition. This eventuality and any attached conditions will be discussed directly with the organiser of the competition, the Lidice Memorial.
