ICEFA Prize Awards 2017 - Russia, Saint Petersburg

On October 3, 2017, the GK CR in Sankt Peterburg held a festive event on the occasion of the award of the 45th International Children's Art Competition Lidice, which is held annually by the Lidice Memorial. Diplomas and gifts were handed over to the participants by GK CR Karel Kühnl and curator of the competition Ivona Kasalická.
On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, almost 30 children and adults, teachers and parents, gathered at GK in Sankt Peterburg for a gala event organized by GK for the winners and participants of this year's competition. Diplomas and gifts from the organizers were handed over to two children - Artjom Mozalev (School No. 463 Sankt Peterburg) and Maria Kotova (Center for Children's Creativity of the Moscow District of Sankt Peterburg). For other active participants, GK prepared special thanks, each small artist also received a set of Czech watercolor crayons. It is worth noticing that Maria Kotova (9 years old) has won the second time, according to Mrs. Kasalicky, the curator of the competition, this is a unique issue, because the evaluation of the work is anonymous and such a result of the Saint Petersburg girl shows a really high level of her creative work.
The second winner is 16-year-old Artjom Mozalev, pupil of school No. 463, with whom GK in Sankt Peterburg has been working closely together this year because of the teaching of a graduate of Bohemistics at the Sankt Peterburg University of St. Peter's University, Mrs. Marina Mikhail (the pupils of this school have shown the most active participation in the competition). Pupils from School No. 463 also sang a song dedicated to the children of Lidice, which was composed by their music teacher.
At the end of the event GK prepared for all sweet treats.
Children from distant regions of the GK consular district in Sankt Peterburg, who participated and were awarded awards (Archangel and Vologod area), will receive their diplomas by post.
