ICEFA 2017 Prize Awards - Russia, Moscow

On October 5, 2017, a grand prize was awarded to participants of the 45th International Children's Art Competition Lidice at the Russian State Children's Library in Moscow. The award ceremony was attended by Mrs. Ivona Kasalická, curator of the exhibition, which also opened the Lidice exhibition 2003-2017.
The ceremony was handed down to the Moscow State Exchequer and the Moscow Municipal Council this year in the Russian State Children's Library building (RSDK). The introductory speech was delivered by Mrs. A. E. Lebedevova, Head of the Department of Foreign Literature RSDK, who appreciated the cooperation between the RF and the Czech Republic in the field of culture and also the possibility to be part of such an interesting project as the ICEFA Lidice.
ZVZU Petr Kroužek welcomed the Czech Embassy on behalf of the RF, thanked the RSDK for cooperation and especially appreciated that Mrs. Ivona Kasalická, the exhibition curators of the exhibition, arrived in Moscow for the opening of the exhibition and the awarding of the prizes. Mrs. Kasalicka introduced the people to the history and present of the Lidice ICEFA and presented a short film behind the backstage of the competition, which was followed by the handover of diplomas, medals and small presents prepared by the Moscow Embassy. The ceremony was attended by guests from Moscow, Tuly, Saratov, Penzy and Kazan.
ZVZU Petr Krouzek then introduced interesting interactive facts from Czech history, culture and language.
Following the award of the participants and the accompanying program, the opening of the exhibition "Lidice 2003-2017" was held in the RSDK Gallery, which maps the work of the medalists of the competition for the last 15 years. The exhibition of fine artworks is accompanied by panels informing about historical events in the village of Lidice, whose 75th anniversary is remembered this year.
