ICEFA 2014 Prize Awards - Lithuania, Vilnius

The ceremony, at which awards were handed out to the winners of the 42nd ICEFA Lidice, was held on the premises of the Czech Embassy in Vilnius on October 22nd, 2014. This year’s ICEFA Lidice 2014 was very successful for Lithuanian participants, who came home with 5 medals and 23 honourable mentions.
The Ambassador Bohumil Mazánek warmly welcomed all the winners, their parents, siblings, and teachers, thanked them for their participation in the competition and wished the honored artists many further achievements.
Among those who received medals and diplomas from the Ambassador’s hands were laureates from the Trakai Art School, the A.Martinaitis Art School of Kaunas, the J.Grušas Art High School of Kaunas, the Radviliš Vaižgantase High School, Salantai Art School, the Kupiškis “Saulute“ Kindergarten, Viekšniai Art School of V.Deniušis, and from the Vilnius “Mintis“ High School. After the Award Ceremony the Embassy invited the winners to a lecture by the young children‘s book illustrator Kotryna Zyle, whose book “The Little Giant“ was created under the auspices of the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO.
