ICEFA 2014 Prize Awards - Azerbaijan, Baku

On October 22nd, 2014 the children awarded in the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2014 arrived to the Czech Embassy in Baku. Ten young Azerbaijani artists, their teachers and Mr. Jašar Alijev, the Head of Science and Education Department from the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, were all present at the award ceremony.
In his speech the Ambassador Vítězslav Pivoňka talked about the history of the competition existing since 1967 and pointed out that children from over 60 countries participated in it. Mr. Pivoňka congratulated the young artists and announced the theme for Lidice 2015: LIGHT.
Nine children were presented Honourable Mentions and one girl, Alija Amanova, a student of the Children’s Art School in Lenkorán, won the Rose of Lidice medal.
