ICEFA Prize Awards 2014 - Ukraine, Kiev

On December 10th, 2014 a prize award ceremony was held at the Czech Embassy in Kiev for those children who succeeded in the 42nd running of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.
The nineteen prize-winning children are all students of art schools in Kiev, Odessa, Nizhyn and Sumy. Ambasador Ivan Počuch presented their diplomas personally, along with some small gifts and memorabilia. Afterwards, the Czech Centre’s employees showed several short films to the children, their teachers and parents, followed by a short workshop where they made traditional Czech Christmas ornaments (e.g. a candleholder made from an apple) and where they also learned some interesting facts about the Czech Republic.
