ICEFA Prize Awards 2014 - Armenia, Yerevan

On 12 February 2014, the Embassy in Jerevan hosted a prize-giving ceremony for the Armenian children who have won a prize in the 42nd International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice. The event took place in the Armenian Genocide Museum in Yerevan (the museum co-operates with the Lidice Memorial, which is an organizer of the exhibition).
Ambassador Petr Mikyska presented an individual "Rose of Lidice" medal to seven-year-old Asmik Gevorgian from the Art School in Dilijan and the same medal to the whole school for the collection of works by Anait Abgarian (10), Rafael Grigorian (11), David Kharatian (11), Samuel Saakian (9), Sofia Simonian (9), Aik Terterian (11), Arutiun Vardanian (9) and Angelina Zandian (11). Congratulations came also from the well-known actor Hayk Marutyan.
Apart from Dilijan children, honourable mentions also went to Samvel Manasyan (12) from Kasakh, Lilit Gyodakyan (7), Edgar Samvelyan (10) and Albert Simonyan (9) from the Gasparyan Art Studio in Yerevan.
