ICEFA 2016 Prize Awards - Ukraine, Lvov

On 19 October 2016, the premises of the Czech Consulate hosted the event where Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv Pavel Pešek presented honourable mentions awarded by the expert panel of judges of the 44th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2016 to Ukrainian contestants the district of the GC Lviv.
The prizes were presented to 11 pupils from four schools – Gymnasium in Banilov-Podgorny in the Chernivtsi province, the children's creativity centre Art Studio Bee, the Olexa Novakivskij Art School and Children's Art School no. 10 in Lviv. Besides the child winners, also their parents, teachers and representatives of the managements of the above-mentioned schools were present at the event.
Presenting the certificates, Pavel Pešek briefly mentioned the history of this significant art contest that has been taking place since 1967. He thanked the winning artists for their participation in this year's edition of the contest, congratulated them on the awards received and wished them every success in their future artistic activities. He also appreciated the work of the parents and teachers, who lead and support the children in their artistic efforts. He concluded with invitation extended to all young artists to participate in the next, 45th edition of the contest, dedicated to the theme "Travel".
