ICEFA 2016 Prize Awards - Bulgaria, Sofia

The ICEFA awards were presented to Bulgarian children on two different occasions.
The first prize-giving ceremony took place at the exhibition "11 worlds" in Shumen on 18 Nov 2016, which dedicated to child illustrators and their work. So, this occasion was very suitable for presenting the awards. The prizes to the pupils from Targovishte, from the schoos United Children’s Complex – Fine Arts School and Arts School Arteya, were presented by JUDr. Jaroslav Kamas, Deputy Ambassador of Czechia, and Kateřina Churtajeva, Director of the Czech Centre.
The second prize-giving event to celebrate the achievements of the school Prikazen Svjat took place at the preview of the exhibition of pictures by this art school in the Czech Centre in Sofia on 7 Nov 2016. The prizes were presented by Czech ambassador Ing. Dušan Štrauch, CSc., in the presence of Director of the Czech Centre Kateřina Churtajeva.
There were 27 children awarded in Bulgaria, 10 of them receiving honourable mentions and 12 medals. Also two Bulgarian art schools, Art Studio Prikazen svjat from Sofia and United Children’s Complex – Fine Arts School from Targovishte, were awarded a medal.
The prize-giving ceremony was attended by many parents and grandparents, duly proud of their children, who were delighted by the prizes received as can be seen on the photos taken on both occasions.
