ICEFA 2016 Prize Awards - Armenia, Jerevan

On 8th December 2016 the Representative office in Jerevan held a ceremony for awarded Armenian children who took part in 44th ICEFA Lidice 2016 and were given medals and honorable mentions.
For the second time, the ceremony took place in Komitas Museum – institute in the presence of the awarded artists and their parents, friends and Ambassadors from Japan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria and Russia. Among those invited were representatives from schools that were not awarded this time. They received invitation cards for next year competition ICEFA and most of them were invited to visit Lidice.
Lidice tragedy and the history development of the international competition was presented to the children. Every winning entry was shown on the screen and after receiving the diploma and some keepsakes, every awarded child described his or her work and talked about the circumstances of its origin.
The ambassador Petr Mikyska handed over an individual medal - Lidice Rose – to Milena Kocharin (12) from Art school of O. Sarambejan in Dilijan. The same prize was given to the school representatives for the collection of works by several authors Astkhik Abovian (7), Garnik Papian (11), Karen Sargsyan (11), Anna Tamanian (11) a Meline Badalian (16). An honorable mention went to Lilit Kharatyan from Margahovit.
204 Armenian children took part in the 44th ICEFA Lidice. All awarded children were present and personally received the prizes except for ill Meline Badalian. Her teacher took the prize for her.
