ICEFA 2016 Prize Awards - Sweden, Stockholm

On 7th December 2016 the Czech Honorary Consul in Malmö Mrs. Katerina Strömsholm handed an honorable mention over to Kate Eriksson,a student of an art school Kulturskolan in Halmstadt. She was awarded for her successful contribution to 44th year of ICEFA Lidice 2016.
The event took place in the Halmstadt theatre on occasion of the opening christmas concert of the Kulturskolan school. There were over 800 spectators who had an opportunity to hear about famous and important children´s competition which takes place every year in Lidice. There are more than 20 000 art works sent there and more than 70 countries from all over the world take part in it. Mrs. Tove Bergman, a chairwoman of the children and youth commitee of Halmstadt opened the concert and the ceremony.
Kate Eriksson wasn´t present at the ceremony since she had moved abroad. Her grandmother Mrs. Siv Eriksson took it over for her. She read a letter of thanks from her granddaughter.
Mrs. Hana Richtrova, a teacher and ompatriot, promotes the competion in Halmstadt and leads her students who sent their works last year. The director of Kulturskolan Mr. Ulf Fembro was present as well.
