ICEFA 2018 Prize Awards - United Kingdom, London

On 5 November, three British winners of the 46th International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2018 were welcomed to the Embassy by Ambassador Libor Sečka.
The young artists - Sophie Jacklin, Lauren Miles and Elizabeth Shelton, students of the Thetford Grammar School in Norfolk – came to London with their parents and teachers. Having thanked them for their participation in the art contest organized annually by the Lidice Memorial, Ambassador Sečka congratulated them on their achievements and presented them with beautiful certificates delivered from the Czech Republic.
Afterwards they discussed the importance of remembering the tragic obliteration of Lidice in 1942 and the close connection between this Czech village and the United Kingdom. The students expressed their wish to visit Lidice personally one day.
